Classes are held in Halwill Baptist Church Hall from 1.30 pm – 3 pm, every Thursday during school term times.
Di Sluggett is a fully qualified British School of Yoga teacher and would like to share with people of all ages the benefits of Yoga to both the body and the mind. In her Yoga classes she teaches people how to relax the mind through relaxation and keep the body flexible through Yoga postures.
Each class begins with a quiet time to allow students to rest their minds of any worries and troubles the day has brought. The main part of the class consists of a series of flowing asanas (yoga postures), that can be varied to suit everyone. The class is drawn to a close by coming back to doing less strenuous asanas and more relaxing movements, then time is spent in relaxation. Yoga can improve the whole well-being of a person, it can give you better posture, teach good breath control, which benefits all the systems of the body.
When attending a class , you can feel a sense of escape and relief from the stresses and strains every day life can bring. Yoga will improve both the mental and physical well-being of the student. It will help the body maintain its mobility and agility and help the student cope more calmly with every day pressures along life's way.
