Parish Hall

Halwill Parish Hall was built in 1995 and is situated in Halwill Junction. The Main Hall is very spacious with a high ceiling suitable for badminton, etc.  It has tables and chairs sufficient to accommodate a function of up to 100 people and a leads out onto a large balcony overlooking the playing fields and children's play area. There is a large kitchen with a 4-ring cooker with oven and grill, fridge, hot water boiler and crockery, cutlery and glassware available for use within the hire price.  The main entrance has no steps and is wheelchair accessible. There is also an accessible toilet with baby changing space. 

The photo shows Barry Parsons presenting a cheque for £600 towards new recycling bins that will be situated in the Parish hall car park.

The Snooker room on the lower ground floor has two full size tables and toilet facilities, and is accessed via steps at the side of the Hall, via the new path (suitable for wheelchairs) or across the Playing Fields.

The snooker club have plans to refurbish the room soon.

The Hall has a new extension, completed in 2012 called The Jubilee Suite.  The main user is Scallywags Pre-School (opens in new tab) group. However it is available for booking outside of term time and on Fridays, evenings and at the weekend. The suite comprises a small, colourful and cosy room approximately 6m x 8m with a small kitchen, toilets and a covered outside area with wheelchair access. The room can be booked for meetings with minimal disruption to the Pre-School set up or as an extension to the Main Hall for a larger function. (this requires more notice so the Pre-School can put all their furniture away).The Hall also has a portable 50 inch interactive Plasma screen TV, which can be booked for use in the hall at meetings, conferences, parties etc. for an additional fee (deposit required)

There is a large, newly tarmaced car-park which has spaces for 50+ cars.
