Minutes for Halwill Parish Council's April 2021 meeting

The meeting started at 19:30

Present: Cllrs J Hardman (Chair), J Wilson (JW), R Cristofoli(RC), C Langston(CL) Cllr R Groocock, R Livermore(RL), Ward Councillor P Hackett In Attendance: 2 members of the public & clerk To receive apologies for absence - Apologies were received from Ward Councillor P Watson and County Councillor B Parsons

Standing Orders were suspended to allow the public to speak. But they didn't want to.

Standing orders were reinstated

Clerk's & Councillors' announcements As we are in the local election purdah period Cllr Hackett had little to say apart from that the return to face-to-face meetings will be a challenge. There has been a request to tender for the grass cutting and other parish warden work. Grass cutting to be an agenda item for the next meeting.

Action List The parish litter pick will go ahead on the 10th April Still waiting for Highways to respond to the request for a car park sign Work at the end of the car park will start by the end of April.

Halwill Community Market request to hold a car boot sale on parish council land It was resolved to allow the Halwill Community Market to hold a car boot sale on the car park in August. The HAFC has no objection to the football pitch being used outside the football season if needed. Clerk to inform the Halwill Community Market

Preparations for the return to face to face meetings. Meeting calendar The regulation allowing virtual attendance at meetings expires on the 7th May 2021 and will not be extended All meetings after that date need to be face-to-face. It was agreed that the Annual Parish Council Meeting will be held on the scheduled date of 13th May and will be followed by an ordinary parish council meeting. The meeting will be in the parish hall. A risk assessment must be carried out and Covid-19 regulations followed. The Annual Parish Meeting will be held on 6th May by Zoom if there is any demand to hold it.

Work at the South of the car park We are waiting to see if we can get some planings for the pump track.

Correspondence - The list of those nominated to stand for the post of County Councillor at the Local Elections on the 6th May 2021 was read out.

There has been a letter from a local bus driver asking for the toilets to be reopened. The Clerk was asked to contact Adrian Redwood at TDC for comment.

To confirm the date of the next meeting of the Parish Council The next meeting will be the annual parish council meeting on May 13th 2021 at 19:30 in the Parish Hall followed by an ordinary meeting
