Events and Activities Calendar

Plenty goes on at Halwill Parish Hall and we are currently working on adding an Events and Activities Calendar to show all the times for clubs and events for the forthcoming year.

In the meantime the following groups/clubs and organisations regularly use the hall:

Jubilee Suite - Scallywags Pre-School, Monday (all day) to Thursday (half days) term time Contact Rachel Lovejoy (administrator) on 01409 221833

Halwill Parish Council also meeting in the Jubilee Suite for monthly Parish Council Meetings on the 1st Thursday of most months. Patchacott Flower Club meets in the Suite once a month.

The Jubilee Suite is available for bookings outside these times. There is a small kitchen and separate toilets and wheelchair access. Booking fees vary but we aim to be affordable. The Hall also has a portable 50 inch interactive Plasma screen TV, which can be booked for use in the hall at meetings, conferences, parties etc. for an additional fee (deposit required)

Main Hall

Thursdays - First Thursday afternoon each month - Women's Institute Meeting 2pm- 2.15pm start - Contact Denise Solway 01409 220209 desne@fairgrove.net The W.I sometime use the Jubilee Suite so the Hall may be available on a more regular basis on Thursday afternoons. On Thursday evening the hall is regularly booked for private Badminton

Saturday- Second Saturday of each month (except January) - Halwill Market 10.00 - 12.00 - entrance 50p, tables £4 each plus tea, coffee and cakes available - proceeds go to local good causes. Contact Jane 01409 221505 & Sandra 01409 255668. There are currently 2 Table Tennis Tables also available for hire in the Main Hall.

Snooker Room (lower ground floor) The Snooker club is located in the lower ground floor of the hall and has 2 full size snooker clubs - Membership costs just £10 a year - Contact -Brian Smallacombe 01409 221503 or email brian@bsmallacombe.plus.com At present the Snooker room can only be accessed via steps at the side of the Hall or accross the Playing Fields. However we have just secured funding to install a tarmac pathway from the North Elevation (Jubilee Suite) down to the playing field and for a patio under the balcony, which will allow access to the Snooker room and playing fields for people in wheelchairs or reduced mobility.

Annual Events 

Gala Week - usually the last week in July - lots of events in the Hall and on the Playing Fields

Produce & Flower Show - 31st August 2013 - Annual show of local produce, flowers, baking and crafts with prizes for adults and children's categories. Please see full entry under 'Village Activities'

Hall AGM - April 24th 8pm in the Jubilee Suite
