Approval to build 13 new houses in Halwill

At a meeting of Torridge Planning Committee on 17th Jan 2013, the application by Tarka Housing Association was approved by a majority vote. This means Tarka will be going ahead on the Somerslea site with the building of 11 affordable and 2 houses for sale. This decision was made in spite of a verbal representation by Halwill Parish Council to the meeting. Please note that HPC agreed with the need for 8 houses but not for the 13 densely-packed houses proposed by Tarka.
